I called 212-975-3691 and said "What's this I hear about Condoleeza Rice stealing security documents from the National Archive???"
The gal says "Oh, that wasn't Condoleeza Rice, that was Sandy Berger".
So I say.. "Oh.. I didn't see the story on your news so I guess I got it wrong.. Are you going to run that story??"
She says "Yea.. we are working on it right now".
It would be hilarious if about a thousand people called asking for Condoleeza's head on a platter only to have CBS explain to them that it was actually Sandy Berger and therefore, everything is just OK... and also explain why the story has not hit the news yet.
If you want to barf until you almost die go to the msnbc website and watch the video of Katie (yuck) intervieving David Gergen. I shut the video down when he started talking about the "suspicious timing" of this leaking just before the Dim convention.
I see clinton fingerprints all over this. If they didn't want a big deal made over this it would have come out this Friday and been buried by news of the convention.
