I haven't seen any story saying Berger stuffed anything down his pants or in his socks. The story stated Berger put documents in his pants. That isn't the same as stuffing them down his pants from a ceveptive POV. However, it does show the deliberate hiding of these documents.
I have seen several (AP?) stories now stating that Berger admits putting the documents in his socks. I think it is on Drudge as well. A lot tougher to spin socks... he can try the absentmindedly putting them in his pants pocket approach, but not a lot of accidental sock stuffing goes on, after all.
