Initial articles just said pants. We should be careful not to overplay our hand here... it is being stated that he stuffed documents down his pants. Of course this is no way lets this guy off the hook but we will be accused of smear and distortion if we don't get our facts straight. I just heard Lanny Davis on CNN speak of Berger stuffing the documents into his "socks". He said "socks more than once, BTW.

So which is it? Socks or pants or both?

This is an extremely surprising thing for Lanny Davis to say... are we being set up here?

Sandy Berger will not be prosecuted. Bush's advisers will tell him it would not help him get votes in November. Enforcing the laws is only a secondary interest of W's administration.
