This entire scenario is ridiculous.

All of us regular people have drawers full of silly, mundane items...like old receipts, and warranties for a TV that we bought five years ago.

All of us, in our work, keep files of things that we'll probably never need again..."but you never know."

To "mistakenly" discard documents related to national security, OBVIOUSLY does not happen accidentally. While I'm well aware that Clinton had a bunch of idiots on staff...no one is that stupid.

That said, will anything be done? Probably not.

Presidential Adviser Bruce Lindsey and White House Counsel Bernard Nussbaum also monitored events during the first few days of the standoff at Waco. On March 2 or 3, Deputy Treasury Secretary Roger Altman met with Nussbaum and Lindsey to brief them on a trip Altman had taken to Waco following the ATF shootout of February 28.

Yep. I posted to a couple of people to ping me when somebody goes to jail.
I am not holding my breath.

Put it into context.

He's in a classified and secured reading room, the sole purpose of which is to allow him to read classified materials in that room. The rules are very clear.

Yet somehow Berger, who has held various roles in national security, "forgets" those rules, and in the act of "forgetting", puts classified documents (including multiple copies of at least one document) into his jacket, his pants pockets, and his briefcase. And as he is doing this, he "forgets" that he's in the classified reading room.

Then he takes those classified documents home - in his briefcase and his coat and pants pockets - and "misplaces" one or more of them.

This absolutely strains credibility.
