Charles Kushner has been a donor to the NJ & NY democrat party for many years donating millions to the party and to candidates who are 100% pro-abortion such as Schumer, Corzine, McGreevey and Menendez. He's a personal friend of McGreevey. Why the Archbishop would be seen with Kushner is beyond me, well, I'll give you 1 million reasons why.
Zoffinger, another personal friend of McGreevey was also part of the committee. I'm sure his views on abortion are the same as the governors.
Time to mobilize and vote the RATS out before they destroy the foundation this country was built on!
Here's your boy with a prominent pro-abortion politician. Wonder if Myers gives him communion.
Isn't Myers the bishop who first wrote a pastoral letter about the necessity of not giving aid and comfort to these prominent pro-abortion Catholics?
I think Kushner is Jewish.
Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Catholic Discussion Ping List.
Yes, Archbishop Myers wrote the pastoral letter.
Kushner is Jewish.
Archbishop Myers "seems" to be more concerned with pomp and circumstance, publicity, etc. than anything else.
The communion issue is the third edict on which he waffled where he stated he wasn't referring to McGreevey when he wrote it as I posted in post 1. The other issue had to do with the closing of churches, after news leaked out, he said that all he did was a feasibility study; I don't remember the third issue.
Of course. Kushner is Jewish.
I thought Myers came to Newardk with a pro-life reputation.
We need to REALLY pray for our bishops. They are Satan's prime target, and he knows their weaknesses and is exploiting them.
A reminder to us all, there go I, but for the grace of God.
So did I. I think money and pageantry are in the way for him. He did conduct stations of the cross in front of the Englewood abortion mill and attended the NJ RTL banquet and wrote a pastoral letter about abortion and receiving holy communion. He gave in when the pressure started and said he didn't have McGreevey in mind when he wrote the letter.
Seeing him with Kushner bothers me.
From what I understand, he's working slowly, but getting it done.
He didn't take back anything on the Communion issue (he merely clarified that, in a state where both parties support the slaughter, this was not directed as a specific individual, as it shouldn't be), he only delayed the demise of eulogies (the ban is in effect now), and he's cleared the altar of unnecessary people (EMs,etc.) during the non-Communion part of the Mass.
Not perfect, but miles ahead of his predecessors in terms of tradition. To put it simply, the "progressives" will rue the day this man was assigned to Newark; I suspect they already do.
Awesome Coleus, thank you so much. I am definitely going to say them!!!!!!
I get very angry too when I read various reports, but then the Lord reminds me of when I fell away and was sinning myself. Who am I to judge when I've been there? Someone prayed for me and God showed me mercy.
I think it would be so much more helpful to the Lord when we pray for his priests instead of lashing out, however tempting it may be; and boy is it tempting.
Well, maybe next week we should send him many letters, reminding him of how much we look to him to hold the line. Letters that are very polite, but implore him to give this issue the support it deserves.
I had never heard of Kushner before. Has Kushner been a long time donor?

Yes, go up to post 1 and click on "keyword kushner". He was just arrested by the US attorney.
Oh, that guy. I wonder if the Bishop is embarassed now.
Please clarify who the "prominent pro-abortion politician" is - and his religion.
