I accidently stuffed some classified material in my pants.

The phrase "Ignorance of the law is no excuse" is rather constantly misused to suggest that we should all be lawyers. It was initially used to convey that just because someone didn't know there was a specific law against something, doesn't excuse them when they did some act which everyone recognized as being wrong (commonlaw). In this light, Sandy Berger's comment, "I knew it was wrong, but didn't know it was illegal," is shown to be particularly ridiculous.

Wilson appeared on the Paula Zahn show last night, and here's an account of how it went. Short version: "I was misquoted. By everyone!" Too good.
