Berger served as Clinton's national security adviser for all of the president's second term and most recently has been informally advising Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry It is probably too much to ask that Kerry be asked to comment on this, but I hope he is. I suppose he'd cite an "ongoing investigation" and say he has faith and trust in Berger. *cough*

Berger is on the platform committee for the convention....and is called a key foreign policy advisor to Kerry in several articles.

How dare you George Bush minions question my patriotism by asking me about Sandy Berger!!! This is a political hatchet job led by John Ashcroft and the Republican attack machine to impugn the honor and character of all of us who served in Vietnam!"

It is probably too much to ask that Kerry be asked to comment on this...Personally, rather than having some sympathetic reporter ask him about it, I'd like to see Kerry deposed by a mean, tough prosecutor. (I know, I know. In my dreams.)
