Yes. And consider this: as early as last week he was publicly speaking for Kerry. But his home was searched early this year (apparently). If he knew this and didn't tell Kerry, where's his judgment?
If he told Kerry, and Kerry didn't step away from him, that would be even more astounding. That's why I tend to believe Berger kept it to himself.

I can believe Kerry was in on it. Or if Kkerry was ignorant, Kerry could be counted on to co-operate, ex: supply a pardon. If true, then even if he's not involved in this particular nightmare, someone's got their hooks into Kerry bigtime. Which would make Kerry just as big a menace to my mind.
I'm not so sure that Kerry would have backed away if he knew. I think that he knew that Joe Wilson was a liar and didn't care. Kerry has a long history of attatching himself to phonies and using them. Think about all those phony veterans in the VVAW group that were planning assassinations. This is just one more just like the others.
