I wonder if Berger pilfered any of the memos on the intelligence surrounding the El Shifa pharmaceutical plant in Sudan. Berger claimed, on the night of the attack on the plant, that he was "certain" the plant was producing EMPTA, a key component of VX nerve gas. Allegations of connections to Iraq's Samara Drug Industries, a firm with connections to the head of Iraq's VX program, were subsequently withdrawn with the excuse that the Clinton administration was "unaware" that the pharmaceutical plant had changed ownership, six months before.
