"The Howard Stern bulletin board is up and running! The number of people flocking to it is astounding. They opened up the board last night with no announcement and 600 people signed up in the first 5 minutes. After Howard talked about it today about 3,000 people signed up and there were tens of thousands of posts. The guys from Dream Tank (Jim and Mark) who put together the site and bulletin board were in the studio for the launch and said they originally had three servers for the board and they already know that is not enough to cover the traffic. Vinnie Favale, who spends way too much time on the internet, was there to help with the launch. They will probably have to put in stacks of servers to accommodate the huge traffic that is expected. They said they've never seen anything like this before. The board still has some kinks to be worked out, including making it more organized and easier to read. A lot of people are offering their help to be moderators, and over the next few weeks the board will evolve. Howard is already depressed by all the negative things people are writing about him on the board and Robin vows to never go on it because of that reason. Everyone associated with the show has their name in orange, so you'll know when you are talking to someone from the show. "
did a search - didnt find it posted
Why would Howard want to work them out? Thought his career was based on kinks.
Well, you can't create a user name or view the bulletin board as they aren't taking any new memberships.
Can't get in unless registered and can't register before 10 PM EDT.
Yeah, I saw that
Yes we should all join and overwhlem them with conservative common sense. LOL
They would probably shut the board down after one day.
Howard wouldnt dare limiting OUR free Speech (sarcasm)
Howie Sternberg is a phony. Some lawyer advised him to become more political in an attempt to shield himself from FCC fines by hiding under the cloak of "political speech"...
No need calling to protest, the station owners are part of a lawsuit against Clear Channel.
I'm too busy posting here & fighting the liberals on Stern's Usenet newsgroup (alt.fan.howard-stern).
I've been wondering why he would do such a 180 on Bush (after 9/11, he praised him for a good two years). Your explanation makes the most sense of any I've read.
Howie sold his birthright for a bowl of pottage.
