his license was permanently revoked in 1990... Edwards has been charged twice with driving without a license, most recently in August. He pleaded guilty and paid a $100 fine... How screwed up is this? The guy has had his license permanently revoked since 1990... Driving is only a $100 fine? Worth the risk you won't get caught, vs. taking the bus, paying for taxis, etc...

Driving is only a $100 fine? Worth the risk you won't get caught, vs. taking the bus, paying for taxis, etc... I know of a case in Massachusetts where a person got drunk, drove a car off a bridge and killed a woman and still gets to be a U.S. senator.
