I guess I just don't get it, but we have had a "de facto" national identity number for years: our SSN. The credit scoring bureaus use it as our "national identity card" as do countless other businesses and government agencies. Why not use it to protect our national security? If you ever travel abroad, you have to use your passport, another "identity card." The downside of "national identity cards" has already been recognized. Why not reap the potential benefits, lik requiring one for VOTING!!!

this guy is a traitor to our most basic bill of rights.
I think we are getting to the place where traitors who want to set aside our liberties for "safety" should be tried as an enemy of the state.

And if these "rights" are better suited to the horse and buggy days, perhaps we would be better going back to them... and the days of hangings too.

who all believes that our technology should ADVANCE our personal rights, freedoms and liberties, instead of diminishing them? that our technology should place greater restrictions on government snooping NOT less. Greater restrictions of our neighborhood "friendlies" to intrude on our private lives, not less?

statist bootlickers will get no sympathy from me, when the goebbels brigade, led by eva braun, comes a knockin' on their door. they may live to regret the day they got, EXACTLY what they have wished for.
