I keep thinkin it can only get a little worse before somebody out there finally wakes up, but no matter how strident one becomes... only a handful and only a couple of organizations grumble a little and there goes the farm and all the sons of the pioneers over the hill to get retrained to live in the rat infested megalopolis!!!
I'm gonna quit lamentin and quit lettin myself care about it because all it does is make me out the bad guy singing my repetitive tune. From now on it nuthin but fun and games and bein a half-fast spectator, shakin my head for a brief moment and grinnin and movin on down the road, takin care of only myself till there's no more young people in CA.
We're suffocating our own substance, offspring and resources and it's a disgrace to protect so much that could be productive and useful. We were once a shining example to the world of a thriving, useful, productive state... now look what we've let the Euro-Socialistas do to our future with our mob rule ballot measures and government by whim.
There is no longer such a thing as a California REPUBLIC!!! I just wears me out to think about it anymore... There will be no "there" there before much longer. It's being run into the ground by a bunch of clowns without dignity!!! It's just too disheartening.
I guess the effort in Klamath Falls on the CA/OR border was about the last hurrah. Whatever...
I don't think that's the case at all. I think alot of people are upset with the advance of the socialist agenda and have given up on trying to work within the system...some to the point that they believe that social unrest is the only viable answer to this crap.
Personally, I don't know how much longer things can continue the way they are. As Ayn Rand pointed out in Atlas Shrugged, constant demonization and harassment of the people who produce eventually leads to social collapse..
As we have discussed on other threads, thanks to the cows don't vote ruling, we are no longer a republic - we are a social democracy. (although it doesn't appear to be at first glance, this article is actually about property rights)
One of our recently elected county supervisors is on record as being unalterably opposed to the conservancy, and will work against it as well as he can. The Mojave Desert-Mountain Resource Conservation and Development Council has a preponderance of members who oppose it, and who are also in regular communication with government entities that do (BLM, Forestry, Cal Fish and Game, etc.), and there are many others who stand foursquare in favor of private property rights.
Win, lose or draw, there will be some activity from our end.
