Last night right after it happened, the reports were saying it was a bag of common "firecrackers" that exploded. Now we learn better, I see.

Can someone post what the sub titles said? I would
have to download a couple of things to be able to view
it and don't want to if I don't have to.

This morning from 6 a.m. to about 8 a.m., cnn had not mentioned it. FOX was mentioning it and talking about it as they should. msnbc was giving it a simple one-liner sentence stuffed in along with all the other news, as if it was not important.

We know that if it was a Republican who did what sandy burglar did, it would have been the lead story with lots and lots of pics. The media is a sham and a shame.

It is possible that all the mercury stuff is hype by the liberal crowd.

No, I wouldn't want to play with it, but have as a kid.

We used it to catch fine gold in the pan.

So I wouldn't get all hyper about it.

Now if you were attempting to cook it off with out a retort, you might fall over dead (sooner or later).

Mercury is heavy and you can see where it goes, it does not travel in the air unless you build a fire under it.

I considered the evacuation to be a Sierra Club new law, not a reason for fear.

Mercury is a liquid metal, not a powder.

Not something I would want your daughter to be handling, but not a danger, if she does not touch it.

"Interesting. Or- they could just nuke Moscow and let Moscow's Doomsday plan destroy the entire US"

Hmmmmmmmm! Good idea and good thinking.

Fox news reported Berger also stuffed notes in his socks.

I read elsewhere that Berger said Clinton sent him in to get the notes.

Bhutto: Pakistan bought missile technology from North Korea

Web posted at: 7/19/2004 3:40:39
Source ::: AFP

TOKYO: Pakistan’s former prime minister Benazir Bhutto said in an interview with a Japanese newspaper published yesterday that Pakistan bought long-range missile technology from North Korea following a visit she made to Pyongyang in 1993.

But in the interview in London with the Asahi Shimbun, she denied suspicions that Pakistan provided the Stalinist state with nuclear arms technology in exchange for the missile expertise.

“Through my visit to North Korea in December 1993, we managed to obtain long-range missile technology,” Bhutto was quoted as saying in a Japanese-language translation. “We did not obtain them in exchange for nuclear technology. We bought them with money,” she said.

But the former premier added she did not approve of missile development on the basis of the North Korean technology. It is widely believed that a series of Pakistan’s Ghauri missiles are based on North Korea’s Nodong missile. Bhutto told Asahi that she had not approved of any sales of nuclear technology while in office.

A purported statement from the group led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, an Islamic militant with suspected ties to al Qaeda, disowned a threat against Japan that was posted in Zarqawi's name on a Web site earlier Tuesday.

Interesting...Don't they want Japan to pull out of Iraq? Perhaps they don't have to resources to attack Japan or need to stay focused on the Western world. I wonder if some sort of deal was struck back when the three Japanese hostages were released. They were anti-war types & I suspected there was some shady business on their part, but didn't think the Japanese government had anything to do with it.

Yeesh, it was a bright sunny day here where I am ... until I saw all the headlines you posted, that is! Sometimes, it is like stepping into a different world on this thread with the headlines and links posted by you, Cindy and JP. I wouldn't want it any other way. Better to know than not. :)

Boy, I don't like hearing about this 2 ft. drop of water. Piper, do you remember several months ago that some bricks of C4 were discovered in Lake County? During that time, I believe that the British foiled an attack in Chicago (just this spring) which was targeted for the Sears Tower I believe.
I'm just trying to connect some dots. I see an ugly pattern of things in Illinois, and too many weird things happening in/or near nuclear power plants. I hope they are heavily guarded.

Just took a peek at the final phase forum- and saw this:

(by Sean Osbourne Lomax)

Quote:

Does Al Qaeda have 20 nukes here or don't they?

s2brutus, and the forum in general:

For brevity sake... YES!

Trust me on this... we do NOT want to see the proof of this.

At this moment, and for the next two months or so, my worst fear is that we may.

I doubt many will be around to do the analysis on the residual isotopes to determine which Russian reactor the cores came from.

As Honza says, God be with us.
