The CA GOP is bad shape right now. Plus a lot of Californians are disgusted with both Pubbies and RATS. You'd think that the Recall Election would have been fertile ground for 3rd party candidates. The Recall Saga was the perfect time for Libertarians and Constitution Party to step in and make serious runs for Governor. The fact that they didn't, reveals just how weak 3rd parties are.

No, it just goes to show how weak so-called conservatives in the Republican Party are. The third parties didn't have to put up their own guy because they had a good TRUE conservative Republican candidate to support: McClintock. But, as usual, the Republican Party and its loyal conservative followers abandoned the real conservative candidate in favor of a more liberal candidate in the person of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

His election over McClintock is the fault of all the high-and-mighty, so-called conservatives in the Republican Party who believe one way and vote another for the sake of victory.

If they'd ever grasp the fact that we could have real conservatives in office if we'd just vote for them, this country would be in a lot better shape.
