'She's my hero', Moore says of RTE's Carole (BARF ALERT)
Irish Independant ^ | 7-13-04 | Susan Garraty

CONTROVERSIAL film maker Michael Moore has admitted that his hero is RTE's feisty Washington correspondent Carole Coleman after her tough interview with President George Bush.

Moore, whose family roots are in from Tipperary, Cork and Waterford, said: "In the end, doesn't it always take the Irish to speak up?"

"She's my hero!" Moore said repeatedly about RTE's correspondent in an exclusive interview with the Irish Independent. "Where are the Carole Colemans in the US press?" he asked, alluding to Ms Coleman's rigorous questioning of President Bush on the eve of his visit to Ireland last month. "I know that a lot of the people in your country like the American people, that you see something charming about us - the way we just wear it all out there on our sleeve," he said.

Moore lamented that, prior to his anti-Bush movie, 'Farenheit 9/11', taking the Palme d' Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May, not many people in the mainstream media were willing to listen to him.

"No one in the US, certainly not the networks, were interested. Maybe next time I'll go to Carole and RTE with something good," he said.

"I want the rest of the world to go back in time to September 12, the day after 9/11 when we received the good will and compassion from across the world. We've squandered so much of that good will since then."

Moore alternates between stand-up comic, film promoter and agent provocateur. He is resolute in his stated mission of dislodging Mr Bush from the White House. And he says that any politician from any country who helped him with the war in Iraq should be voted out of office.

"I think the Spanish started it. They threw out their prime minister, who didn't listen to the will of the people, and it's my sincere hope that the Australians, the Italians and the others who joined Mr Bush in this war will also be removed by the citizens of their countries.

"And I hope this film helps to do that."

Mr Moore said one of the biggest puzzles he was not able to solve while making the film was why such an "intelligent guy" like British prime minister Tony Blair "hooked up" with Mr Bush.

"That is something for science to figure out," Moore said. "Maybe someday, someone could do some examination, put him under hypnosis."

Among other things, Moore's new documentary film depicts President Bush as having a sinister motive for pursuing the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

That plot surprisingly has made 'Fahrenheit 9/11' the highest grossing documentary in the US ever, bringing in over $60m in less than two weeks on a limited number of screens across America.

And his intent? "Come on," Moore said, "if we can impeach a President over a stain on a blue dress, don't you think we ought to be able to get this guy out after he took us to war based on lies and deceptions?"

Dear Happygal,

I've been eating. A man needs food y'know. Dump the Welsh. It's too bloody hard for me to understand. What do you look like? I have an idea. We will see if it is accurate. I am a California brown bear. Your turn.

BTW, shouldn't you be sleeping right now? It is 2AM in Ireland. Or 1 AM?

Dump the Welsh

Dump the Welsh? *LOL*

I never took up with a Welsh man to dump him. Although, I might just for the fun of the experience. I live close enough to Wales to hear 'Bread of Heaven' lilting over the Irish sea from the masses of Male Voice Choirs and Sheep that make up the population of Wales.

A country I could never take to.

I don't mean the Welsh as a people, just the language. It makes my brain hurt.

Sharons nice but nothing compared to Grainne Seoige on Sky news - what a babe! Moores love of Ireland's US correspondent tells a lot about our national broadcaster and its leftist agenda. You can tell they are really proud of their bitch.

I don't have Sky myself, but I know of the lass; and don't forget TG4 has it's uses- all those weathergirls and anchorgirls.

Fair play to Mayo;) I was born in Castlebar myself - moved to Donegal when I was four (with my parents, of course), but still have a soft spot for the ould sod.

BTW, scored myself tonight. An 8 lbs 11 oz bouncin' baby boy. There ya go now!

From Canada FreePress.com on July 15, 2004

Elections Canada will lay charges against shockumentary filmmaker Michael Moore.

Officially, Elections Canada will neither confirm nor deny plans to lay formal charges against Moore. However, Canadafreepress.com has learned through sources that charges are imminent and expected by the end of next week.

The anti-Bush Moore, who often lets his mouth get ahead of him, may think he got away with the boner of the Canadian release of Fahrenheit 9/11 just days ahead of the June 28 federal election, but there is the little matter of election law infringement.
