Interviews Of Muslims To Broaden
Washington Post ^

Posted on 07/17/2004 8:17:19 AM PDT by Happy2BMe

FBI agents have launched a series of interviews of Muslims and Arab Americans in the Washington area and across the country, hoping to glean information that could prevent a major terrorist attack during this election year.

A few dozen voluntary interviews of community leaders, students, businesspeople and others have been conducted so far, according to attorneys and Muslim activists. Authorities said they do not know how many people will be contacted, but the effort is expected to expand significantly in the next week or so.

Just because the murderers of over 3,000 Americans on 9/11 just coincidentally happened to be at the hands of Muslims, that does not mean these peace-loving people have to be harrassed does it?

I don't understand why muslims are even allowed to fly. Let them take the bus.

If they don't like that, they are more than welcome to go back to the islamic shithole they came from.

In June 2001 I was picked up by a Northern VA cabbie for a ride to Dulles airport.

He was Middle Eastern, in his 50's, and couldn't stop ranting about the "very strong building" I'd just exited (a highrise condo). Even at the time I thought his interest in "very strong buildings" was a tad strange.

Turns out the building was more-or-less on the flight path of Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon three months later.

I don't know how much he knew, but my gut says he knew something.

They come from lands where freedom is not even a concept within the society. As soon as they get here they instantly know ALL their constitutional rights and demand to exercise them to the fullest and beyond. Then they whine and cry like stuck pigs when they are asked to help their new nation track down terrorists.

Gee, that's kinda like what a criminal would do isn't it?

It is time for the Video Militia to report for duty. We need volunteers to keep 24/7 video survellance on every mosque in the United States.

How long would it be before the media acused us of intimidating profiling victims?

Yeah, the questions sound lame, but ridiculous questions are the questions you don't ask. Looking at it from the other side, what is the advice you get from your lawyer if you are ever arrested for a crime? Don't say ANYTHING. NOTHING. You don't get the advice "but it's OK to answer the ridiculous questions."

Uncivilized people do not belong in American. They have a mindset for what is likely not to change.

I don't understand why Mohammedans are allowed into this country period.

It would be considered "racist" and "discriminatory" to bar any particular group. Plus, even many conservatives still believe that anyone and everyone can "assimilate."

The 9-11 hijackers outwardly "assimilated" -- they wore American clothes, drank booze and visited strip clubs, but they still hated this country and everyone in it and killed thousands on that fateful day.

I can almost agree the questions are a bit generic ... here's a hint, ask them what they think of Israel and the West Bank and Jerusalem ... and what they think of America that supplies the greatest amount of aid to Israel ...

when it's all said and done, it's all about wiping Israel off the face of the Earth and crippling America for supporting Israel and suppressing dictatorial Islamic regimes ...

with the Russians it was geopolitics in the 1950's-1980's ... but with these guys it is about Islam vs. the rest of the world ... and the Russians are more interested in saving their country now ... (I don't think the Russian people were expansionist, the communist gov't I mean) ... but the Islamics want to dominate the world ...

and they see the USA and Israel as two huge obstacles to this ... the Chinese are not yet part of the game but I think they will be eventually ...

I strongly disagree that the chinese are not part of this game. Everywhere they've formed their 'strategic partnerships', we've had problems. From mexico to france.

I mean in war against Islamic fundamentalists ... is that what you are saying? ... I know the Chinese would not allow a muslim on a plane inside China in the days immediately following 9/11 ...

Consider the diametrically opposing ideologies of Islam and Chinese Communism (very close to the modern Democratic Party ethics).

Islam kills those opposed to bowing to Allah and Communism kills those opposed to bowing to totalitarianism.

Both are the scourge of the earth. Both are welcomed in the Democratic Party.

the Jihadists have attacked nearly everybody though ... will they be foolish enough to mess with the Chinese?

(that is what I am asking)

I believe they're not above helping each other against us. I see the world divided between left and right. I think that that is what this will all come down to in the end.
