Congressman John Culverson just stated he has just received informantion from Southern District U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby (Texas)that Al Quida members have been entering from our southern border and have been entering through Texas and blending into towns....He stated this was classified and he given the OK to release this information.
The congressman may be a former congress memeber, I didn't hear his complete title. He is on KFI Los Angeles now.
Yeah. I remember locally we had an ABP about an Hispanic bank robber. The public was asked to be on the lookout for a man of black hair, brown eyes and a stocky build. I said to nobody "well that narrows it down to about 20 million...".
Please, pile on, pile on. We can't say this stuff loud enough or often enough. :-)
Don't know what your talking about.
I have a good friend from Iran, and he is mistaken for a Mexican *all* the time. As a matter of fact, he conducts civil and criminal investigations and he is used in predominantly Mexican areas since he blends in so well.
A VERY disturbing ping.
I hear you.
but do you realize the extent of the communications capabilities, financial arrangements, logistics, etc required to keep a network of 1000 terrorists in sync for such an attack? it would be like trying to run a medium sized business, but totally covert.
They(Joe Hadenuf and Tom Clancy) have to serve their demo liberal hollywood bosses to get a paycheck.
BTW, Joe didn't start a thread yesterday when John & Ken were "criticizing" Baca, hmmmm.
place marker bump
Just curious: pic self-hosted? Herald / Review A9, is the article available too?
Read it again. It *was* classified.
He stated further that it was just unclassified and he was given the nod to go public.....
This is pretty easy stuff to understand....
Yes, they call it "la Reconquista," and the strategy is classic conquest by migration (colonization). But that's the point, in a certain way: Vicente Fox wants only Mexicans migrating to the US, and not Middle Easterners.
Maybe Fox is cooperating with us, and so the quid pro quo for that is to allow unlimited immigration by (illegal) Mexicans for a little while longer.
And have you called Baca's(D-CA) office to explain it to him.
The context in which you used "was" didn't make it entirely clear.
He stated further that it was just unclassified and he was given the nod to go public...
Interesting claim. Generally, Congressmen do not publicly release information from the executive branch.
Do ya one better....
Here's an excerpt from a posting on November 13, 03:
"MEXICO CITY (AP) - A former Mexican consul to Lebanon has been arrested on charges of helping a smuggling ring move Arab migrants into the United States from Mexico, federal agents said Thursday. Imelda Ortiz, detained late Wednesday in Mexico City, is the fourth alleged member of the ring captured in three days. "

And did you miss the story in the last couple of days about Al Qaeda in Iraq being funded from outside of Iraq and that their budget is over $1 Billion dollars, with a B ??
You do realize that financing is not a limiting factor, right?
That's really not a big deal. Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn, if not the easiest.
Thanks HiJinx!!
You're right...follow the money.
We have had explosives, firearms, cyanide, propane trucks, and all sorts of other things stolen in the last two years. I believe the materiel necessary to conduct operations is already in place.
And that's my scary thought for tonight.
Are you kidding me??? Would give them away to whom?? Maybe to other Mexicans, but not to our Border Patrol. There's a difference in the way people in Minnesota speak vs. people in Texas vs. people in South Carolina vs. people in Boston, vs. people in Oregon.... You think anyone who isn't a native English-speaking person could tell the difference?? Our border patrol (or 99% of them) won't be able to tell the difference in Spanish dialects.
but that's inside iraq, not inside the US.
its not the quantity of money - its the method by which its distributed to the "troops". there has been significant improvemnts by law enforcement to monitor and track suspicious financial movements, ATM transactions, etc.
Also Joe and hijinx, you do know that for full disclosure that half of Lebanese are Christian Arab.
