Welcome to FreeRepublic.

May i make a request (or word of advice): not all of us are from Georgia. I'm from Virginia and I don't know who is running for what in other states, but I'm interested. I'm interested how the Conservative / Republican candidates are doing in both House and Senate races in those other states.

So, please write out the whole name and party for us in other states. For example, when I write about my Senators: Senator John Warner (R-VA) and Senator George Allen (R-VA), or Congressman, Representative Virgil Goode (R-VA 5th dist.), I write them out for those in other states not familiar with Virginia.

Bottom line: I'm as interested as you are, but I'm out of the "Georgia loop", so I don't know how to reply or whether to be encouraged or discouraged...

Thanks Geist Krieger, I'll do that in future posts. As for this post, here's the information: Johnny Isakson is the Republican from Georgia's 6th Congressional District, it covers north-western metro Atlanta. Mac Collins is the Republican from Georgia's 8th Congressional District, which covers from just south of Atlanta down to Columbus.

I don't know how to do this, as my congressman is Chris Shays, who supposedly is an "R" but I don't know why.
