For decades homosexual pressure groups have claimed that, since 10% of the population is homosexual, public officials should give credence to their political demands. Now it seems that when they absolutely have to tell the truth, activists admit the 10% figure is a myth. The startling admission was made by a coalition of 31 homosexual advocacy groups, including the Human Rights Campaign, National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, and the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. In their brief filed in a recent U.S. Supreme Court case, Lawrence v. Texas, which dealt with that state's sodomy statute, the coalition said that only "2.8% of the male, and 1.4% of the female, population identify themselves as gay, lesbian, or bisexual."
