The sing and dance between the US major media and Al Jazeera (and Reuters) is very clear.

So true. When I was in NYC, the big Reuters billboard in Times Square ran a story about the US military attacking some village or whatever, with the typical momma crying in the camera scene. This is the top story. On the same day that the most recent American was beheaded, the guy from New Jersey (apologies; forgot his name at the moment).

The major problem, as I see it -- is conflicting "visions" as in: Pursuing the American Dream vs. Facing Up to Realities.

Again, so true! The Lib Left want to live life under the premise that they will never have to make a personally inconvenient decision. Islamic terrorism? Couldn't possibly be due to the wretched perversion we export in the name of Hollywood. NooOoo. It must be that George W. Bush! AIDS epidemic? Couldn't possibly be due to the 'anything goes' bedroom morality we possess, it must be that George W. Bush!

Conservatives, on the other hand, tend to have a more pragmatic view on things. Personal responsibility, disdain for welfare, interest in facing down our enemies, foreign and domestic.

BLH -- your post reminds me of something which came up during the 90s in California. There was talk about forcing homeowners to have to rent a room to the homeless, should they have a "extra" room. I kid you not. And, in the mid-90s, during Prop 209, some anti-Americans in San Francisco were demanding that San Francisco "secede" from evil racist California. I also kid you not. So, a Republican congressman from Santa Rosa area replied: Ok! You secede, and we'll all stop paying subsidies and forking over the tons of taxdollars to San Francisco. Fine! The ballyhoo over seceding, stopped right there.

Also during these years, communists at their fun-fests were burning effigies of Newt Gingrich, Pete Wilson, and Ward Connerly.

The Democrat election mantra this cyle is: Bush in effigy.

Communists want what they want. They don't want to pay for it. And when they can't get their way, they resort to violence of all types.

I was having some heavy memory flashbacks yesterday. Many years ago, I was "6 degrees close" to an event in Marin County where communists blew the head off a judge. Angela Davis was involved. The Soledad "brothers". Now, the communists have infiltrated the system and continue to "blow the heads off" conservative, constitutional judges by unethical means. Kennedy/Olafi/Elaine Jones -- Memogate, is a good example of it. The blocking of President Bush's judicial nominees is a perfect example of it.

The slow creep of rot from within is being stood up to. And the Lib Left Communists are hysterical. Too many years of "in effigy" has left them with the inability to be smart or clever. They've learned to let their emotions overrule clean-logic. And, because of their "emotion-driven" agenda, terrorists are attacking the US. The left claims terrorists are doing this because the US is "evil, imperialistic". When in fact, the truth is...

These religious cults abroad despise the emotive-based agenda of the communist party. They declare the US as evil because of its disgusting amoral behaviors and practices. These practices, are the practices of the Communists.

The US communists, OTOH, think they are "working" out a deal with the terrorists for some kind of shared power with the terrorists once America is "destroyed".

It's the clash of communism and fascism. The communist party was so sure that terrorists abroad would just love them too; as much as they loved the terrorists.

Point is, terrorists don't love anyone. And they see the US communists as useful tools. This is partly what underlies US Communist hysteria, IME. US Communists thought the terrorists would just let US Communists "run" America. Not so. In abject terror -- this is why US Communists continue to finger and point out Bush -- Hit Him -- Not us!!!! The terrorists only laugh..
