Democrats Diagnose Conspiracy About Cheney's Doctor

The Bush-Cheney re-election campaign has dismissed rumors about a possible new running mate as Beltway blather, but the denials haven't stopped conspiracy theorists.

"The newest theory - advanced privately by prominent Democrats, including members of Congress - holds that Mr. Cheney recently dismissed his personal doctor so that he could see a new one, who will conveniently tell him in August that his heart problems make him unfit to run with Mr. Bush," the old gossips at the New York Times "reported" today.

Strangely enough, Howell Raines and the other disgraced ex-Timesmen didn't have enough creativity to use that sort of excuse when their careers went down the toilet.

These anti-Bush kool-aid drinkers will say anything if it will get on the front page.

This is pathetic that the NYTimes would put this bull above the fold on the front page. They don't even try to hide their bias and destructive nature now.

The gave this a bigger headline than they did the day after President Reagan died (Reagan had to share the top fold with Smarty Jones losing the Triple Crown!).

Of course their polling looks like crap: their "starting lineup" looks like they're thinking about leaving their wives and running off together.

The dems are terrified of Cheney.

They expected Edwards to give Kerry at least a 10 pt bounce .. they got NOTHING.

The dems will claim that Edwards is such a great orator, he will devastate Cheney .. don't believe it. Cheney is direct and to the point and people like that. Edwards will babble on and one and end up saying nothing.

Funny how it's always unnamed Democrats who are floating these rumors. It's also (mostly) Democrats who are warning the Bush campaign that Cheney drags down the President in the polls. Now why would they do that?

"The Democrat's internal polling must look like sh!t."

It does. It does, indeed. They know that they're screwed with the idiot, Kerry.
