Point blank, assuming that even half of what the woman said in the article is true, a reasonable person would have been highly suspicious.

I am from Seattle where most of our cab drivers wear turbines and I have Arab and Indian friends (I am in software development). I also do a lot of flying and have been at both of these airports on multiple occasions.

There race is only part of the evidence, but it is a big part, and SHOULD be.

We have a phrase up here in Seattle: DWA (Driving While Asian). Race is only part of it, but the stereotype fits far too often. Using race to size up a situation is actually quite prudent.
