There's even a letter to the editor in our paper today about "that awful Cheney." It's compelled me to write a letter in response.
According to this article, Cheney has only 21% favorable rating. Sheesh...he must be the most disliked politician in America. I think it's bull.
This story is as worn out as an old pair of panties.
I like Cheney; I think he does a great job. Maybe I even like Dick Cheney better than George Bush, and I like George a lot. But politics is the art of compromising to get what you want. Objectively, Cheney is not well-liked; compaired to either Powell or Rice he does not help the ticket, and there is no chance that he'll be a candidate in 2008. The goal of Keeping George Bush in office, and keeping Kerry out of office, is too important to be subordinated to any other goal, including keeping Cheney in the V.P. spot. It's necessary, in my view, to replace Cheney with either of the above if it makes GWB's reelection more likely. IMHO.
Me too. Too bad she sheeple never *listens* to W. When he was asked why Cheney would remain his VP, W's response was, "Because he can be President. Next?"
The libs remind me of my daughter when she was three years old, "Diana, what is it about the word 'no' that you do not understand?"
