Intel and the chip conundrum

Intel announced its earnings late Tuesday and we were once again witnesses to the traditional hand-wringing exercises that are standard operating procedure in that most peculiar business, the semiconductor industry.

The fact is that this sector, in general, is addled with a collective fear of failure and self-doubt unparalleled in the history of business enterprise. Intel (INTC: news, chart, profile) epitomizes the attitude that is marked by a vicious, competitive survival instinct and the constant need to dabble in money-losing side ventures based on the deep-seated and wrongheaded fear that its main business will disappear.

I'll be in Isleton at a party tonight and tomarrow with the widder. BTW we got remarried at Grand Council in May this year. Had to have a clamper wedding to make it offical. Peanut Butter did the ceremony. If you don't know Peanut Butter ... he is a Prysbertarian Bishop ... former Marine Corps Chaplin (actually Navy cause the Corps does not have their own Chaplins) and XNGH of LSD 3. One of his claims to fame (and he has quite a few) is that he wrote the original poem that became the song "They call the wind Mariah" used in the movie "Paint your Wagon". I specifically asked him if that were true and he said yes and proceeded to tell me the whole story ... pretty cool. I bribed him with 2 bottles of his favorite libation ... dago red Chianti.

Actually, I DO know him.

Congrats on your remarriage, I rememer those days !

I have been curious about LSD 3, some friends have said that they have taken back control from the outsiders that were running it.

If you see P B again, ask him, would you please?

If you are Intel, then you didn't hear me say I o/c'ed my 3.2 Northwood. Its water cooled too, hehehehe. When do the 3.6E's come out? Or better yet, the Prescott version of the EE?

I recently went to a witch doctor cause I believe someone put a curse on me ... the witch doctors asked what the exact words were to the curse ... I said they were "I now pronounce you man and wife"

LOL ... good one :)
