Although I appreciate the employment opportunities that this entertainment provides, nobody will ever be able to convince me that 'gaming' is nothing more than a complete waste of time. (Our legacy for landing on the moon is to turn our youth into drooling zombies?).

Thanks. Back in the day, I put way too many hours into gaming. I put the keyboard down and slowly stepped away from the computer games a couple of years ago. But Doom 3 will be a mighty big temptation to overcome. The more you post, the stronger I am to resist the temptation.

I really do appreciate and respect your point of view, but you should really look at it much deeper. Search for some of the psych studies and see what they say about problem solving and video games. Do you think reading is a waste of time? Playing a game is the same as reading a book, but instead of being a passive experience/observer you become an active participant. You are no longer just reading how someone else solved a problem... you have to solve it. I may get flamed for this, and this is not meant to offened, but maybe if the people at NASA had played games they would have scrutinized the situation a little bit better and prevented a tragedy that didn't have to happen.

Take Care,
