A geek goes to Hollywood and finds himself in a world where very, very beautiful women are very available and goes crazy. The way Peter Bogdanovich went blonde-crazy over Cybill Shepherd and destroyed his directorial career. The way Gary Hart self-destructed over a minor starlet after his pal Warren Beatty introduced him to Hollywood.

Peter Bogdanovich's career has gone into a slide alright, but I don't know if Cybil Sheppard was the cause. Yes, he was enjoying her favors, starting with The Last Picture Show, but he soon replaced her with Dorothy Stratton, after Hollywood's chief procurer, Hugh Heffner, had lured her away from her husband. As we all know, her husband murdered her and then killed himself. That seemed to be the incident that started Peter's slide into gentile obscurity. However, don't feel to sorry for him. The last I heard he has now gotten his hands on Dorothy's younger sister and resumed where he left off. How sick is that!
