MontanaBeth:
By all means, thank them if you wish as that's a decent and polite thing to do, but I'm just reluctant to "reward" them. I may even send them a thank you, too, inspite of what I said earlier, but I'm going to ask for more: An apology from Abrahams himself or the boycott continues. Don't stop the pursuit once you've got the enemy on the run! Don't let them regroup! To paraphrase Geo. C. Scott in "Patton":
"We're going to hold onto Unilever by the nose! We're going to kick it in the A$$! We're going to kick the hell out of them all the time, and we're going to go through them like $hit through a goose!"
(oddly, the dollar signs above are very appropriate.)
*cue the "Patton" theme music*
I'm off to polish my pearl-handled revolvers now. Dismissed! ;-)
Excuse me...I meant my IVORY handled revolvers! *blush*
Ad I mentioned in another thread if you really look into donations from corporations most give money to BOTH the Rats and the Republicans. All large companies lobby or have some dealings with lobby groups and work with both rat and Rpublican politicians. If a company gives only to the Republicans and a rat wins the rat may award contracts or have legislation that will hurt the company.
The company I work for gives just about equally. If somone really looks into Unilever I bet somewhere along the line money is gen to Republicans. Especially with Bush in office the last 4 years.
I like your style.
