Abraham and his wife who are big supporters of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) have given at least $1.2 million to Democratic-leaning groups working to defeat Bush.

I guess the "heart and soul" of America don't agree with Kerry/Edwards and Whoopi. Too bad, so sad.

Yes, and I've been thinking about this, and I'm not so ready to drop my boycott against this company, nor am I likely to send an email thanking them for doing the right thing and getting rid of Whoopi.
Unilever makes nothing that I can't live without; there are lots of good products out there that are comparable, if not superior (thank God for competition!)
If anything, I'm more likely to send them another email asking them why the president of Slim Fast is silent on this whole affair, and tell them that I'm going to continue the boycott until he makes some public apology to all Unilever customers. As long as the knife is in, why not give it a twist...or is that too mean? *evil grin*
And why stop there? Unilever needs to feel more heat, too. Why not ask them if the corporation shares the political views of one of their company presidents? If so, then they won't be seeing any of my money if I can help it ( if there's an answer from them at all, I really can't imagine getting anything other than a dodge, though).
Now, I know that some will say that what F. Daniel Abraham does with his money is his business, and since money=speech, we shouldn't interfere with someone's right to free speech. That's fine. Mr. Abraham can vote with his pocket book and I'll vote with mine. Words mean things and carry consequences.
I read about the Pres of Slim Fast being a big leftie so I thought about buying the generic drink from Costco but then someone told me the head of Costco is another big wig Demo!!! What can I do?????

Exactly! I would still boycott.
