I did a search and didn't see anyone else post it. So here it is. Just received this from Slim-Fast:
Dear Hildy Linn ,
Thank you for contacting us recently about our use of Whoopi Goldberg, specifically regarding her remarks made at the recent fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall. The manner in which Ms. Goldberg chose to express her personal beliefs at this event do not reflect the views and values of Slim·Fast Foods Company.
Slim·Fast selected Whoopi Goldberg as its spokesperson because of her commitment to losing weight, which we applaud.
We are disappointed by the manner in which Ms. Goldberg chose to express herself and sincerely regret that her recent remarks offended you. Advertisements featuring Ms. Goldberg will no longer be on air.
We appreciate you sharing your views with us and we hope you will continue to use Slim·Fast as your partner in healthy weight management.
Sincerely,
Shelby Mahan

You think she only weights 135 pounds? I suppose Heather Locklear must weigh about 35 then.
"to pay someone millions for half the audience when you could pay someone else the same amount if not less and bring in 100% is insane."
Yeah, there are a few insane people apparently, as I used to say to my wife, "stop expecting things to make sense".
ha ha! From Sister Act to Cistern Act.
It is my understanding that a cistern is a place to store rainwater for later use. I respectfully suggest that a cistern is not where Whoopi has gone. A septic tank, on the other hand.............
I'm not on a diet now, but I could drop a pound or two. Think I'll go out and buy some Slimfast. You do have to reward good behavior.
bump
very fast.....
They already have.....was reading some woman in a chant room ranting about Whoopi's free speech rights being taken from her....got DEAD SILENCE when I responded "Who got up on stage and stopped her from speaking?"
I spewed, you mean this is a real ad and woopsie allowed it on the air. Unbelievable. Somehow I still have doubts.
Been on line and in the newspapers too. Being a techno-dummie I don't know how to search for the info but I am sure some Freeper can help.
"Whoopie has every Right to say what she wants.
She has every Right to criticize the president.
She has every Right to be a spokeperson for any product.
I have every Right not to buy that product."
Exactly BUT, whoopie or any other celebrity DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to "speak" on Americans behalf when they are in foreign countries. Ex: When they say Americans dislike or hate President Bush.
Americans didn't "elect" these drug addicted/mentally disturbed celebrities to speak on our behalf. They do not represent what the majority of us think or say. They are nothing but tools of their Hollywood leftist masters.
I was preparing myself for withdrawal pains in not having Dove soap. LOL
I think you're right, but see #2 below. I concede that 'septic' is probably a better choice for Whoopi.
cistern
n 1: a sac or cavity containing fluid especially lymph or cerebrospinal fluid [syn: cisterna] 2: holds the water used to flush a toilet [syn: water tank] 3: an artificial reservoir for storing liquids; especially an underground tank for storing rainwater
Thanks for the info about Slim-Fast.
The idea sounds good, but I don't exercise much--hour walk in AM with canines about does it.
The "Maker's Diet" looks expensive (organic food is a waste of money) Weigh-down worked, but found out the woman is running a cult. :) See excuses abound!
Well, that's your opinion. When she leaves politics out of it, I think she's very, very funny and her dramatic roles have been really good too, in my opinion. I think she's very talented. If only she'd use her talent for good, instead of evil!!!!
Maybe I should have said Poopie weighs 9.5 stones.
(By the way, if you were making a Maxwell Smart reference, it should be, "If only she'd use her talent for niceness...instead of evil!!!!" Man, I loved that show!)
A gentleman was in my office yesterday and said he needed to talk to me about politics because his wife does not allow him to discuss it at home. She is an adamant katie couric follower. He said he just needed a reality fix. I feel very sorry for men who are married to "blind" women, it must be so difficult (and I know a few).
