And I really doubt that Kerry was ever very devout either, Robby. I don't think his classmates despised him (and still do forty years later) for his religion, his financial status or his family background (being a Massachusetts Forbes and a descendant of Plymouth Governor John Winthrop would trump most of them by far). Instead, I would bet its because he simply was not a likeable or trustworthy individual. He's certainly not now.
