Can somebody tell me what is the deal with John McCain? And, whassup with Sununu? - maybe they vote their conscience and not the party line; IMHO this bill is bad - changing the US Constitution to discriminate is not good; and Mrs. Chenny is right, this is a state issue (of course all of us boys from the South feel that way about a lots of things)

all new england.
Fox has a "log" cabin republican. (insert bevis/buthead snicker)
who is BSing this will hurt bush. Homosexuals do not vote for republicans.

Campbell is on his last term (out in Nov.) so he has converted back to his Democratic roots, its no wonder he voted as he did.

McCain is a secular thinker...he doesn't think in terms of Biblical morality. I imagine all of them figured they may pick up a few homo votes by going with the majority.

The homosexual republican is trying to portray this as a divided party.
Divided as if a Dreadnaught compared to a one man inflatable rowboat.
or
98% vs 2%.
Hardly divided. This is a UNIFYING ISSUE and the "D"'s and their homosexual pets know it.

Chafee is still a Republican? I honestly didn't know that...

I'd suspect they are more for state's rights even though they are wrong on this case since marriage is interrelated with commerce between states.

CNN is playing mc cain over and over.
McCain is COLLOSALLY IGNORANT! He has zero knowledge of law, and zero knowledge of the constitution.
To: SF Republican
Changing the Constitution to discriminate? So you favor all forms of marriages including polygamy? And why discriminate against single people. Marriage even by an expanded definition discriminates in that certain people are included in benefits that others are excluded from. That's the point. The state has an interest in seeing mothers and fathers stay together. There is no such interest in other sexual relationships.

Well, he is a RINO, anyway. Nobody up here in R.I. will challenge him in a primary. Afraid of the name recognition factor, I guess.

I mean, this reminds me of Al Sadr quoting Ted Kennedy after he talked about new managerment.
Here you are quoting Ted Kennedy, "changing the US Constitution to discriminate" can't you liberals get a better person to get your talking points from? At least Carville is sober.

This vote was planned and carried out by the Bush administration. Just like all the "votes" after the 1994 election in the House and Senate. They were always just one or two votes shy. Because they didn't want any reforms, or this amendment, to pass anyway.
