Kerry is an exceptionally good BS artist. Says he'd vote against it, but for some obscure political reasons, never addressing the substance of the amendment. So he is supposedly against gay marriage and against preventing gay marriage. Similar to his abortion subterfuge. He's against it but will do everything to preserve it.

Translation: A phoney liberal who is solidly for both gay marriage and abortion without limits.
