Buster should be fired for his ignorant Productive Outs stat...simply atrocious.
Where did you hear Johnson going to the Red Sox?
I can do nothing but agree with you there. And to correct my own self here, it was Jimmy Rice, not Jerry Rice. Too many years....
;)
I have had the same opinion of Zim the Dim, but I've been off his case ever since his alien masters beamed instructions into his brain through that plate in his skull that had him run out on the field and start whipping up on some punk 1/3 his age.
Peter Gammmons at ESPN: Kerry is a 'phony'

His middle name is Forbes, which is his mother's maiden name, so I am not quite sure I believe that story. The only possibility would be if he had a different middle name and then changed it to Forbes to be JFK.
His Yale yearbook blurb lists his middle name as Forbes.
My uncle used a Yaz rookie card for the motor sound on his bicycle! in my card collecting days i almost cried when i saw the condition the card was in.
BOSTON, MA - In an effort to call attention to his platform, for the upcoming presidential election, likely democratic nominee Senator John Kerry has officially changed his name to Not Bush.
Theres always been a rule of thumb in this office, explained Kerry campaign researcher Ron Zizik, What ever President Bush is in favor of, we oppose. What ever he opposes, were in favor of it. Its as easy as that.
In fact, Ziziks entire job was to research the Presidents stances on each and every possible issue so that Kerrys handlers could quickly craft an opposing viewpoint. The idea is simple, explained Zizik, Were not going to win this election because people want to vote for John Kerry. Were going to win it because people want to vote against George W Bush.
Reinforcing this belief is a recent poll from The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute supports this belief. When asked directly, 56% of respondents said that they would vote to re-elect the president, versus 44% who said that they would vote for John Kerry. However, when asked how many would vote for Not Bush, the results were 11% in favor of the President and 92% in favor of Not Bush. (The institute points out that they have a margin of error plus or minus four percent in most polls.)
Now that The Candidate Formerly Known As John Kerry is going simply by the name Not Bush, Campaign Manager, Mary Beth Cahill believes that the Kerry campaign will save millions of dollars. Since the ballot is now going to have two boxes George W. Bush and Not Bush we really dont have any reason to make commercials or send mailers or buy radio time, gloated Cahill, Our entire platform is spelled out in those two magic little words.
My problem with him is that he let his relationships with players control his management decisions-- even getting players he didn't like off the team, regardless of their talent.
Oh, and I don't feel sorry for him that Pedro dragged his MFY ass to the dirt.
Zim's a strange guy. After he left the Yankees last year, it came out that he was couldn't stand Bernie Williams, and was constantly berating him to Joe Torre. Bernie's the epitome of class, and he deserved a lot better.
" Who was that cool guy with the good looking Mullet?"
This Kerry quote happened over two years ago; check out the Gammons article.
[ slapping forehead ] Really??? Who'd'a thunk. Go figure. I did NOT know that.
Did you just ask Don Zimmer for sexual favors?
