The FCC Act needs to be amended so that the FCC can regulate cable television.

This article can be summed up in five words: We need more government regulation.

Like I've said before, some people must have been asleep in the last century if they still think more government regulation is an answer to anything.

Reagan's observation on government:

If it moves, tax it. If it's still moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it.

And Tailgunner Joe wants to move into section 2. Great idea. What comes next?

The way that regulation in being implemented is actually contributing to the problem.

The movie rating system gave a license to create "R" or "NC-17" movies that the movie industry never had before.

Cable gave the TV industry an opportunity to compete against these movies (or show them).

The attitude today seems to be, "Well make whatever we want, and that's OK as long as we tell you".
