It's an election issue.

or better yet, parents, put earplugs and blindfolds on your children and watch them like Big Brother 24/7/365." Parents taking responsibility for raising their children is not the "Big Brother" position here. That designation properly belongs to those who advocate intrusive government meddling in the private affairs of the adult citizenry.

Nope. I know W has to kiss up to the Christian Right during election year. Then, once you've voted for him, he can go back to ignoring you.

The President want to codify Family Values into the Constitution with a Defense of Marriage amendment. Anarchists and sexual deviants are against it!
I fully support the constitutional amendment, but according to you I am an anarchist and sexual deviant. How is that possible?

No government, or just no federal government?
As a citizen, I sure would like to have a say-so in my state, or my city, or my community whether or not to allow porn, bookstores, etc.
Unless you're saying that porn should be a protected right, like free speech or freedom from illegal searches and seizures. That wherever I go, I have to accept it? Freedom for thee but not for me?

American Lawyers at work here...
Pay a woman $500 for sex. Go to jail.
Pay a woman $500 for sex, film it, sell it, and profit greatly from it. No Penalty.

That is a great picture. Thanks.

As a citizen, I sure would like to have a say-so in my state, or my city, or my community whether or not to allow porn, bookstores, etc.You already do through zoning laws. All communities, towns, etc... have the right to prohibit the establishment of adult bookstores, strip clubs, etc... within their jurisdiction.
However, your communities should not have the power to not allow me to access porn on the internet if I lived in that town, or prevent me from having playboy delivered through the mail, or to watch porno movies on my DVD player.

Porn is obscene and therefore has no "aesthetic" value. Making, distributing and possessing it is not a right. Who decides what is "obscene"? (Hint: its not you.)

Also, Alabama has banned adult bookstores throughout the entire state and the law has been upheld. So, the ability to do what you desire is available.

What was "X" rated when I was a teenager is now R rated.
Any evidence of this? Was there evena rating system at all when you were a kid?

I'd rather arrest the pornographer than the criminal who comes about because porn is legalized.. Do you think that porn is, at present, illegal? If so, on what basis do you hold this position?

Just goes to show what a lying hypocrite you are for preaching to conservatives about a "nanny state" enforcing our values on everyone.

I have asked you several direct and specific questions throughout this thread. Your lack of answering them provides evidence that you can not back up your assertions and that you are nothing more than a blowhard.

Petty tyrants like the idea of being able to force their will and beliefs. Ironically, the way they get off on the idea is almost ... pornographic.
