I may be the skunk at the garden party but I don't think kids should be allowed to just run around and paste political posters or pamphlets all over the school. Free speech doesn't mean you get to disrupt the school and get everyone screaming at each other.

I'm with this kid in his views -- no daylight between us -- and he's got plenty of moxy which you have to admire.

Maybe the answer is to have a bulletin board devoted specifically to posting such political posters/pamphlets, plus a weekly or monthly get together in the auditorium where the kids can debate each other and let off steam in a controlled environment (as in one person speaking at a time and no screaming or name-calling) -- rather than in between classes where there is much moving around and the potential for violence as kids jostle against each other. And certainly not during class as it disrupts the learning.

HAVING SAID ALL THAT, HOWEVER...

This is the bed the left made and it doesn't hurt that at least in this case they had to lie in it for a while. They have developed this attitude that only leftists have the right to protest or disrupt or civil disobedience. They don't yet get that THEY are the establishment now and have to answer to the NEW protesters.

But in the long term, political discourse in schools has to be channeled properly to prevent this kind of disruption or worse.

Darn right he's got moxie! The kid's got moxie like a young Mickey Rooney! Good going kid!

Free-dumb of speech is enshrined in our Bill of Rights.

Socialist vampires are given the freedom to be as dumb as they so desire.

It's an enumerated right folks!
