MARQUETTE - The day before President George W. Bush's planned campaign rally in Marquette found Bush- Cheney 2004 officials, the Secret Service, volunteers, local police, Northern Michigan University personnel and scores of others putting the finishing touches on arrangements.
The president is expected to arrive in the area some time after noon Tuesday. The rally, at NMU's Superior Dome, is expected to begin at 1:45 p.m. Spectators will be allowed in the dome at 11 a.m. Security will be tight. Ticket-holders will be expected to have picture I.D. and ticket numbers will be individually matched to those who were issued them.
An NMU spokeswoman said this morning that all NMU parking lots on campus will be open to the public, regardless of their normally restricted status.
Republican Party volunteers at Northern Stationers in downtown Marquette were mobbed once again Sunday as additional tickets to see the president were made available on a first-come first-served basis...

You down there already, or are you just getting ready to drive in?
Time to get my Remote out for the TV, in hopes of seeing my President..just a few hours to go.
It's looking nasty out north-west of here. The Bush-haters are prolly going to get their little tootsies wet. :-)
I am not trying to be flip, but what does "steaming like ants" mean?
OH NEVERMIND.. you wrote "streaming", not "steaming."
Where are my glasses..LOL.
;)
Just now getting ready and will head out soon. I have to pick up my wife on the way.
Will let you know how it goes on a thread on here tonight as soon as we get back...which will be when-I dunno as there's to be a party after.
Hope you are taking pictures to share with the rest of us!
Thanks!
We will waiting for your report..take good notes.
The Freak Show is on In Marquette
It ain't raining up the hill here, but it looked pretty dark a few minutes ago. Lightened up just now.
FOXNews just showed him at a signing ceremony in Washington. Air Force One must REALLY be able to haul.
I have heard that Air Force One flys faster than any commercial plane, but the speed is classified. So, we know that would be more than 500 MPH. Anyone know for sure?? By the way, is there a link to a stream for President Bush, lately, I've noticed that even Fox doesn't usually carry his speeched in full.
Lucky you -- I get to see him tomorrow in Waukesha! And we'll be outdoors, so I'm hoping the weather will be nice. Tickets have been snapped up here too, and he's added another stop in West Bend. I can hardly wait.
Looked on C-Span and couldn't find anything there...OTOH Never seem to find what I'm looking for there.
No live feed on MSNBC video either!
