Thomas Sowell is America's greatest living intellectual! Everyone go buy his books and read them!

I do and I have. The man makes economics interesting. Just read his applied economics. Great read.

Agreed.

Too often, Sowell gets dismissed as "that black conservative." Those are two adjectives that apply to Sowell, but most of Sowell's work is not about race.

My journey from Marxism to conservatism took ten years, but the final step was reading Sowell's masterpiece "Knowledge and Decisions." Sowell writes a whole book on a basic point that so many forget: information is not free.

Bump for later.

I go to the old "Super Crown" stores (some places known as A&S Bargain Books), where every book is at least 50% off. Their web address is www.asbarbainbooks.com. I get a lot of Thomas Sowell's books there, I got Hannity's first book there (yes, I know, Hannity wrote a book...)

Darn this work sometimes, getting in the way of my FReeping! (/end sarcasm)
