Actually the info first came out on Fox&Friends this morning and it ran again on Brits show. Another thing covered on the Fox&Friends segment was the disruptors are to throw marbles on the ground so the horses the police officers ride would have a hard time chasing down the disruptors.

Why not just cancel the convention, we really don't need one, and it would really make NYC mad at the anarchists for stoping it, they would loose a lot of money to these idiots. It would not be caving in, just outsmarting them. Do it online. Think about it RNC.
Just take pictures. Nice clear 35 mm or VHS pictures and then when the time comes turn them into the proper authorities.
I work in midtown and I'll be bringing a couple of fists if any of those maggots get in my face. I will take no prisoners.
I won't be in NY for the convention. In some ways wish I was and in others...not. But there are FReepers who will be there.

Is there any way that images could be uploaded live to the internet? That way, no matter what happens to the camera, the pictures are already out there.
To my mind, they are just as much hate-filled terrorists as the Islamists. And the lawyers they rode in on as well.
