Good morning everyone!
Two comments (for now! LOL)
1. Nice outfit Condi! Looks like she's taking a cue from Laura, with the pastels and pants.
2. I hope they de-nuclearized all that stuff before the Pres. was looking at and touching it.
Great pictures!
***"Have You Forgotten" is a Darryl Worley song that I think should be played on every radio station in the Country at least once a week. ***
They should also play "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning" every week. Both songs should be played against the backdrop of the burning buildings and crying relatives hoping for good news but fearing the worst.
It WAS a shirt unlike no other, wasn't it! But on him, it did look handsome.
He looked like he was having a great time! I happened to catch the live coverage of the event and everyone looked like they were having fun. I think it's really neat how despite all the pressures and demands of the job, he still takes time for fun, especially for kids.
***written not word one of my dissertation proposal today. Why?? Why can't I make myself write?? ***
You work better under pressure. Also, I think when we procrastinate like that, our brains are still working on it, subconsciously. When you finally DO sit down to work on it, the ideas will come pouring out.
I've put off writing talks till the last minute, and then it all just comes together. When I try to force it, it often does not flow.
What is your dissertation going to be about?
What kind of board certification?
I have to renew my nursing license this fall and you've reminded me that I should double check the requirements and see if I need to go to more workshops or anything . . .
***somehow gratifying that more of the Bush's covers seem to have sold than the Heinz-Kerry's.***
Perhaps because the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy of Book Hiders has been hiding/turning the "yukky" covers around.
Have you read the interviews? The Kerry's are just "off".
A reporter made this comment yesterday, when Terayyyyza intro'd Kerry at some event . . . "Teresa made one of her trademark 10 minute introductions of her husb. which turned out to be mostly about herself." LOL!
Also saw a quick video of them and the Edwards' being interviewed, and the Kerry's were fidgeting so much the interviewer supposedly wondered if they'd ever been interviewed before. They were trying to hold hands and look cuddly but just couldn't quite find a way to look "natural" :-)
If your question about the Anniv. letter hasn't been answered, here it is! Go to the WH website and I think it's under "Contact Us" or something like that. If you can't find it let me know and I'll go to the website and find it.
I requested a card for my Grandmother's 80+ b-day last year, and mom said she LOVED the card! A funny part is, my uncle and aunt live in the same town and cannot STAND Pres. Bush, so it got their knickers in kind of a twist. LOL!
Also, last week I sent Grandma and Grandpa some of Laura Bush's Chocolate Chunk Cookies--and was sure to write in the card who the recipe was from. I'm sure aunt and uncle will enjoy that too!
Pretty scary. Don't those idiots know that the "real" terrorists would be just as happy to kill them, too???
Do you think some of Soros' money is behind this?
Actually, Gretchen, I felt FEAR, deep down in my stomach, at how corrupt these people are and how they'll do ANYTHING to get what they want. ANYTHING! If Hillary is ever Pres. our country will be in soooo much trouble, to say the least. She and Bill and their cronies are pure evil.
A day late and a dollar short as always but thank you for the DOSE!
You might be interested in the article which appeared in the Baltimore Sun. Cal Ripken is a BIG hero here. The coverage of anything relating to President Bush is so nasty. This time the reporter is annoyed because the players are in the sun. I guess ball parks and swimming pools and other places where children play are discriminatory, because the children are in the sun!
^^^^^
THANK YOU so much for posting pictures of GW with the celebrity ball players.
Our damn San Diego Commie-Union would never show them.

White House T-Ball Season Kicks Off
By DEB RIECHMANN
Associated Press Writer
July 12, 2004, 1:15 AM EDT
WASHINGTON -- President Bush led youngsters in the Little League pledge on a muggy Sunday as the second game of the White House T-ball season began on the South Lawn.
The temperature was 86 degrees with barely a breeze to cool fans or players -- this time mentally and physically disabled children from Delaware and Pennsylvania. Part of the Little League's Challenger Division, the players, including a few who rounded the bases in wheelchairs, were accompanied on the field by "buddies," who are not disabled.
The president and first lady Laura Bush watched from the bleachers, which were set up in the shade. The Marine Band, seated in a shaded area behind left field, played "Take Me Out To The Ball Game." But the players batted and fielded the ball under an oppressive afternoon sun.
Michael Andrews, a 14-year-old from Ephrata, Pa., in Lancaster County, created a bit of excitement when he blasted the ball up the middle of the field and took off running to first.
"There you go!" shouted the play-by-play announcer, Matt Winer of ESPN.
But then Winer labeled it an "unlucky" hit. The ball stopped when it rolled into the webbing of a glove that had been left lying in the field. Andrews had to stop at first base.
"I think Michael may have been robbed of extra bases," Winer said.
This is the fourth year of White House T-ball, which Bush launched to promote interest in baseball and foster a spirit of teamwork and service. Sunday's game was played between the Challenger Phillies of M.O.T. Little League in Middletown, Del., and the Challenger Yankees of Lancaster County Little Leagues in Pennsylvania,
It's all for fun. Nobody keeps score. All players get a chance to hit the ball, which is placed on a tee at home plate.
After the game, Bush's T-ball Commissioner, former Orioles player Cal Ripkin Jr., helped the president present each player with a baseball signed by Bush.
What did slugger Andrews say to the president?
"Lots of things," he said.
What did the president tell Andrews?
"Good hit," the boy said shyly before he joined his teammates for refreshments.

Soros....could be. You are asking a question that demands a level of broad, critical thinking from leftists. They are incapable.
Prairie
Good morning, Prairie--
Some of the other tactics I'd heard on FOX were that people were supposed to interview for security jobs at the convention, dressing well, acting normal, and so on, then on the day of the conventions, not show up. Not call in, not give any indication of not showing up, just not be there. I guess the idea was that if there were not enough security peope, they'd either have to cancel or it would make it easier to disrupt.
Aren't these some of the same people who are FOR everyone getting his or her say, who are FOR equal rights so much it's almost ridiculous??? And here they are trying to PREVENT people from having their say????
I was just thinking there has to be a bunch of money behind this somewhere, to get people TO NY, to organize this all, and so on.
I do hope the Bush admin. hits hard against this, in some way (even if the name "Bush" isn't mentioned) because it is so stupid, unreasonable, and even evil of these people.
I almost think it might backfire, tho, because hopefully some of the reasonable libs and Dems (is that an oxymoron???) will see that these extreme actions ARE so extreme as to outrage everyone but the most liberal and crazy.
I hope that you washed your hands really good, and you might consider an appointment with an eye doctor. :)
It remains absolutely terrifying that so many people who were connected with blubba's campaign finances ended up shot to death or died in small plane crashes.
Did you know that Brit Hume's son was murdered during that time period, under very suspicious circumstances? If I remember rightly, the son was doing some investigative reporting at the time of his death that touched on the lives and doings of the clintons.
Think about this: Mike Reagan says in his book, exposing himself to enormous libel lawsuit responsibility (or worse, as you know), that (I think Governor at the time) Bill Clinton and Don Tyson flew to Tyson's New Mexico ranch where two underage Mexican prostitutes were brought in for the evening's entertainment, one of the girls (age 16) overdosed on cocaine, died, and Patsy Thomason (sp? Thomases?) flew back to Mexico in Tyson's plane with the body and dumped it.
Now if this were a lie, wouldn't bill clinton want to sue Mike Reagan and clear his name?
Dear Lord, how many others? And if you have ever poked around in the archives at FR of Alamo-Girl's Downside Legacy, (she did a Herculean job of chronicling all this), you will know that Reagan's list of Arkancides is tiny compared with the long list of people who died mysterious deaths after being connected with bill and hillary.
I still pray that their sins against the public will be exposed and dealt with, most especially so that hillary will be denied further office. They did not stop with all this evil when they exited the White House living quarters.
You're right--if any of those allegations were false, why WOULDN'T bill and hillary sue???
I did NOT know that about Brit's son. Did/does he have any other kids? That is sad.
The Clinton's have GOT to be kept out of positions of power. It is very scary what they could do.
Thank You! I found it! Hubby looked for half an hour, all over the Whitehouse site and finally gave up and just sent an email. Looks like he put enough info in it to get the point across. I'll double check. It is his parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary.
That's what advisor's are for! Good thinking!
