In case you missed it, it was really a letter to the editor.
Nonetheless, Mr. Glazer did it up right.

If this country should again be attacked by Muslim terrorists, I strongly believe that Muslims in this country would no longer be safe. IMHO

Give them this little piece and watch them choke.
According to Omar Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of CAIR (Council of American Islamic Relations): Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Qur'an should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth (Report in the San Ramon Valley Herald of a speech to California Muslims in July 1998; quoted by Daniel Pipes in CAIR: Moderate Friends of Terror, New York Post, April 22, 2002)

I'm not sure how many people know this, but I only found this out recently from somone who is muslim (and on the moderate side i.e. about as religious as a John Kerry catholic). The Qur'an specifically bars and condems pacifism. Its against the islamic religion to choose nonviolence as a means for success and considered humiliation to be punished by death.

Good points. The silence from American Muslims is deafening. One thing though, I believe that the arm bands worn at UC Irvine simply said "There is no god but Allah". As long as Jewish students could wear "Hear oh Israel...", Christian students can wear "For God so loved the earth..." and so on, there shouldn't be a problem. I think a lot of this problem came from similarities between the word for martyr and the word for the Muslim creed.
I guess I'm still an optimist and a believer in the silent majority. A silent majority that will hopefully reelect Bush in November and a silent majority of Muslims in America that will expel the extremist element. I may be naive , but I really hope not.
