I just noticed that somewhere a lot of posts back, we have all gotten way of the subject-not pointing fingers, I am as guilty as anybody else.

This thread started off as something about an Athiest List and spread to a debate about salvation and much more. And now we are discussing gambles, (my fault) in regard to a person's choice of a religion or not choosing at all.

Now an opinion has been introduced into the discussion, that perhaps matters of eternal salvation are dependent upon the outcome of those gambles. One's religion it is suggested, is pretty much determined by when where and with whom you grew up.

Jesus Christ was the exception to that rule. Those who follow Christ are an exception to that rule.

Those who follow Christ are an exception to that rule.

And you don't find it odd that most Christians have Christian parents? Or that most Muslims have Muslim parents? Etc. The pattern of the early determination of religion by ones upbringing shows no exceptions in Christianity.
