Someone wrote that the bridge that runs right by the Fleet will remain open because of its importance. I do not think so for he duration of convention as any truck with hazardous loads (fuel, chemicals, etc.) are already banned forever because once one goes by the Fleet one enters a $14 billion tunnel. No vehicles will be permitted except for secret service and other security forces.

I commute several days a week north and south on US Rt. 93 and every evening MA state troopers are positioned on overpasses with binoculars from Boston all the way to the NH border. I suspect there is reasonable intelligence with respect to vehicles that terrorists may drive. In fact there is that I am privy to and I can't say.

Does anyone know the approximate weight of a fuel truck with 9200 gallons of fuel? It may be very hard to stop, especially if the cab is reinforced with steel, has bullet resistant glazing, and special tires.

So do you think they'd let a septic tanker near the center? You know, the kind that sucks up stuff from the porta-potties?
