Can either of you point to a recent voter registration breakdown by party in MI? I could not find it on the SOS/election website for MI. I am interested in knowing how the registration today compares to that in 2000 (%R vs %D vs %Ind.).

Not sure. Unlike most states, Michigan doesn't register by party and hasn't since 92 or 93 when closed primaries were banned.(ruled unconstitutional)
