Nixon, Kissinger, Ford,and Scowcroft were NEVER Conservatives.

They did belong to the Republican party, but I don't think we'd let any of them speak at the convention anymore.

Remember, Nixon actually presented a plan for socialized medicine. If it had been adopted, 90% of the disgruntled old folks who were out demanding a national prescription drug program would have already been dead!

Interesting that Kissinger once proposed using abortion to control the affairs of foreign nations, most likely third-world types. This used to be a popular idea among Reformed Jews who had pretentions of having great political and social wisdom, so it's not surprising at all to find Kissinger touting it. If he hadn't, they'd have kicked him out of his seats.

BTW, I think there's been a bit of fallout in Jewish political circles regarding abortion. It's rare to hear anyone arguing today that it should be imposed on third-worlders to avoid global revolution.

We are having the gun grabbing abortion supporting Guliani, Schwarzenegger, Bloomberg and Pataki crowd speak.
