I spent a week in France last month. First visit. And the last. Beautiful countryside. Absolutely hideous people. Perfect candidate for a neutron bomb, IMHO.

"Absolutely hideous people"

Don't hold back, let us know how you really feel.

I must say I did not care for the French Canadians at all when I was there. (It's the furthest I've ever gotten from the NY Metro area). The shopkeepers, etc. were very abrasive. I did not like how they'd snatch up the money for a purchase, as though they were afraid you were trying to steal from them. A most unpleasant group. I like Celine Dion though, she seems to be a nice person.

I can think of several countries where a neutron bomb that saves the landscape and kills the people would be a welcome improvement.

I've been told by a student who spent a semester in France that the French can be quite pleasant when they are NOT working. But they get so bent out of shape when they have to work, they get sour. A tourist only meets them when they are working.

As they work so little in their socialist paradise, perhaps that means they are pleasant far more than they are unpleasant.

As their GDP sinks lower, and lower, and lower...
