Any attack on the US now will be seen by all America as an attempt to influence the election for Kerry, given the example of Spain. And of course, that's just what it would be.

If/when we are attacked, the backlash would/will be huge, and President Bush would/will be elected by an enormous landslide. I have no idea if terrorists are taking this into account or not, but there is no way that any attack will not mobilize a far worse and far greater response than they can deal with, world-wide.

It does seem that our military is getting into position for something enormous. I'm so impatient with all news that ignores the WOT ...thanks for the threads, I haven't been able to keep up for most of them, but I have the same impression others here do.

And this time, I'm determined to keep up.
