I do believe that USofA is a (perceived) enemy of China. There is no way they will invade us in my life-time. (but then again, I am still looking for that meteor)

If they had the means, they would have already invaded Taiwan. What are they waiting for?

I don't recall Dimitri being that interested in the money.

I had a connection to his neighbors and they insisted he was a very authentic, humble, spiritual person.

I think his daughter or some such may have ended up handling selling his tapes or some such. But mostly he'd speak at whatever churches or venues opened up for him. He seemed to be more of a recluse sort of prophet but with a burning desire to warn the nation as God had instructed him to.

How many Chinese soldiers do you think they could get in 1/20th the COSCO container ships plying the Pacific?

Remember, they are not all that concerned about creature comforts for their troops.

Then there's the military base in Long Beach Billdo tried so hard to give them and I think they still ended up more or less in charge of--or a substitute in spite of Congress's efforts to prevent it.

Regardless, they DO control both ends of the Panama Canal.

I hope you don't think that's so they can enjoy listening to Spanish while on beach vacations!

I've got to agree with Budd on this one. China does not have the ability to project military power YET. They are developing that capability, but it'll take them a decade or two.

Something else I'm sure China has considered. Once they get 'boots on the ground' here, they'll have 100 million armed and angry civilians to deal with. They could nuke us now, but that would be like cutting off the nose to spite the face. We're the ones directly responsible for China's booming economy.
