Either complications from a storm that offficials did not forsee or yet realize; equipment failure; a bird; an overgrown tree limb; or jihadi activity is the likely cause, no flying objects except poor birds or frisky leaping squirrels ever involved.

We track all major power losses on TM, as you know. Whether they prove to be suspicious or not, we track them.

Yeah, I remember the birds wrecking havoc at LAX earlier this year. At first they reported the culprit bird took out the power and flew away, but then I think they did a follow up where the bird carcass had been found.
